Halloween will look a little different in the neighborhood this year. We can’t do our typical parade, so we wanted to share what we are working on for this week.
Falls Hill Halloween Scavenger Hunt
On Tuesday, we’ll be sharing a scavenger hunt list of items around the neighborhood. Completed entries will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Pizza Orso.
A visit from the Falls Hill Halloween-mobile
The Halloween-mobile will be making its way through Falls Hill on Halloween. What’s the Halloween-mobile? You’ll just have to wait to find out, but it stops when costume-wearing kids yell “trick or treat” from their yard! The Halloween-mobile will start at the top of Gordons Road at 5pm and work it’s way through the neighborhood.
Resources for a safe Halloween
For trick-or-treating, each household will need to make their own decision about what’s best for their family. The Virginia Department of Health has published guidance that may be helpful in understanding and managing risk around Halloween activities. The guidance also has some tips on how to reduce the risk of spread if you choose to make candy available. Similar guidance is also available from the CDC.
